Tip 1: Coordinate the Look of Your Slides with a Design Theme

Coordinate your presentation by using a design theme, a new addition to PowerPoint 2007. Design themes work in a similar way as the design templates in earlier versions of PowerPoint. A really nice feature of the design themes, is that you can immediately see the effect reflected on your slides, before making your decision.

Design themes make it easy to coordinate your PowerPoint presentation with colors, graphics and fonts that all work together to create a mood for your presentation. Even though different types of slide layouts are used for different aspects of your topic material, the whole presentation works together as a attractive package.

Think of design templates as a coordinated packaged deal. When you decorate a room, you use colors and patterns that all work together. A design template acts in much the same way. It is created so that even though different slide types can have different layouts and graphics, the whole presentation goes together as an attractive package.
